Karnataka Tourism describes Kalhattigiri as a 45-metre fall beside the Veerabhadreshwara Temple, ten kilometres from Kemmanagundi. That proximity makes it a natural road stop, but the shared sacred and watery space asks for more care than a roadside viewpoint.

The stone elephants, shrine and falling stream are parts of one place. Remove footwear where directed, keep worship routes clear and do not turn strong monsoon flow into an invitation to enter the water.
Build it into the hill day
Use Kemmanagundi as the nearest hill base and Birur as the useful rail connection. Check current temple access, arrive in daylight and leave enough road margin for rain or mist.
