Who we are
Roampedia is a free travel guide and information directory, operated by Haben Consultants (founder Win Babu), based in Kochi, Kerala, India. You can browse the site without an account or sharing any personal information.
What we collect
- Information you give us — when you submit a place, claim a business, or contact us (e.g. name, email, business details, photos you upload).
- Basic usage data — anonymised analytics (pages viewed, device type) to improve the site. No tracking profiles are sold.
- We do not require accounts to browse, and we do not collect payment details on the site.
How we use it
Only to operate the guide: to review and publish submissions, verify business claims, respond to you, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal data.
Third-party services
We display Google Maps embeds and link out to places' own Google, Bing and websites — those services have their own privacy policies. Place ratings shown on Roampedia are fetched from Google and linked to the source; we don't store reviews or personal reviewer data.
Cookies
We use only essential and anonymised-analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser without losing core functionality.
Data retention & security
We keep submitted information only as long as needed to run the listing, and protect it with reasonable safeguards. Published business information may remain visible as part of the public guide.
Your rights under DPDP
You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights or raise a grievance, contact our Grievance Officer below.
