Karnataka Tourism warns that monsoon makes the hill very slippery. The published description places the approach in coffee, spice and jackfruit country, which means working and often private land lies between the road and upland.
Make the visit work
Confirm the active trailhead, permission and guide requirement locally. Start in stable daylight with water, rain protection and gripping shoes. Turn around in lightning, dense cloud or route uncertainty, and retain enough time for a careful descent.
Keep Kotebetta distinct from nearby attractions. Their photographs, opening hours, permissions and facilities cannot be transferred to this site.
