The same government portal remembers Rama worshipping before the war with Ravana, Krishna seeking release from the Syamantaka accusation and the Pandavas praying before battle. These are temple narratives, not archaeological chronology.

Tell the story with attribution: “the temple tradition says”. That phrasing preserves its religious meaning without asking legend to serve as a construction date or proof of a historical event.
