A 16th-century Vijayanagara temple to Narasimha at Tirumakudalu Narasipura, about 30 km from Mysuru at the Trimakuta Sangama where the Kaveri, Kabini and mythical Sphatika rivers meet — a "Dakshina Prayaga" bathing and pilgrimage site.

A 1268 CE Hoysala temple on the Kaveri about 35 km east of Mysuru — a UNESCO World Heritage "Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas" site, famed for its star-shaped triple shrine and bands of intricate stone sculpture.
