Sleeping Buddha Hill

A large fort built across three rock hills above Shahapur town, described in field surveys as one of the largest forts of Karnataka — an extensive walled hill citadel now largely ruined.

A protected late-Neolithic/early-Megalithic stone alignment at Vibhutihalli — a diagonal grid of standing stones (c.1800–1400 BCE) aligned to the equinox sunrise and sunset, a rare archaeoastronomy monument.
