The story
Topslip is a Forest Department visitor zone within Anamalai Tiger Reserve, approached from Pollachi through a controlled entry system. Confirm the gate, permit and activity before the drive. “Topslip safari” is not a blanket licence for any jeep to enter forest roads.

The upland visitor zone combines forest scenery with whatever interpretation, vehicle or walking programme the department currently offers. Availability changes with management conditions.
Use only authorised tickets and vehicles. Ask the route, duration and return point before boarding, and keep expectations about wildlife realistic.
There is limited flexibility once inside the controlled zone. Carry essentials, keep food sealed and follow staff instructions during elephant or weather closures.
For the visit itself, allow half a day from Pollachi. The best time is a confirmed session with safe forest and road conditions. Confirm entry at the appropriate Forest Department reception. Use only the offered route and authorised vehicle. Do not leave the vehicle or approach animals.
