Highlights
- Kulittalai Kadambavaneswarar Temple — A large Shiva temple on the Cauvery's southern bank at Kulithalai, the 119th Paadal Petra Sthalam praised by Thirunavukkarasar; the sthalam's Kadamba-forest legend inspired Muthuswami Dikshitar's composition 'Neelakantam Bhajeham'.
- Rathnagiriswarar Temple, Ayyarmalai — A Shiva Paadal Petra Sthalam atop the 342 m Ayyarmalai hill near Kulithalai, reached by 1,017 steps, with Chola-period inscriptions of Kulothunga II; the hill also carries ancient Jain rock beds.
- Vyagrapureeswarar Temple, Puliyur — A Shiva temple at Puliyur in Kulithalai taluk. Its name and legend link the site to the worship of Shiva by a tiger (vyagra), a Kongu-region Shaiva tradition.
