Thennilai Waterfalls

A dam near Thennilai in K. Paramathi taluk built to store surplus flood water from the River Noyyal and the Lower Bhavani Project canal, irrigating over 19,000 acres of Karur district. Set amid hills and greenery, its reservoir is a scenic leisure and bird-watching spot, especially when full during the monsoon.

An 8th-century rock-cut cave temple to Vishnu as Srinivasa, set in a natural cave atop a hillock about 5 km south of Karur.
