Standing at the foot of a large hillock in Pazhapettai (Oldpet), Krishnagiri, this Vaishnavite temple is believed to be more than 1,200 years old and is traditionally attributed to the Pallava ruler Karivaradha Rangaraja Pallava, with the deity's consecration linked in legend to Arjuna. Dedicated to Lakshmi Narasimha, it was in ruinous condition for decades before a full renovation and rededication in January 2018. It remains one of the town's important heritage shrines, valued for its antiquity and hillside setting.

A rock hill fort crowning a granite hill above Krishnagiri town, associated with Vijayanagara and later Mysore rulers including Tipu Sultan. Its ramparts and rock-cut features give the district its name ('black hill').

A well-known village goddess temple in the town of Kaveripattinam, dedicated to Angala Parameswari (Angalamman), a fierce form of the Mother Goddess. Devotees carry a saffron bag with coconut and betel leaves and perform eleven circumambulations while chanting, believing their prayers are answered within three months. A natural Nandi rock formation within the temple is revered as marking the presence of Lord Shiva. Its roadside location on NH44 makes it a popular stop for travellers between Krishnagiri and Bengaluru.

Located at Shree Parshwa Padmavati Nagar near Sadhanpalli and Orappam, about 6-7 km outside Krishnagiri, this modern Jain pilgrimage complex is promoted as one of the tallest Jain temples in the world, rising around 365 feet. It is dedicated to Parshwanath, the 23rd Tirthankara, and to the goddess Padmavati Devi, and draws Jain devotees from across India. The towering shikhara and the sculpted Tirthankara imagery make it a striking landmark on the Krishnagiri skyline. The peaceful campus also serves as a centre for spiritual learning.

A Shiva temple at Chinna Kothur listed among the notable temples of Krishnagiri district, where the deity is worshipped as Kundeeswarar. Like other shrines in the district it reflects Chola and Vijayanagara-era temple traditions. It serves as a village place of worship in the Krishnagiri area. The temple is a quiet devotional stop away from the main highways.

A locally important Murugan temple at Jagadevi in Krishnagiri district, dedicated to Lord Muruga in his Balamurugan form. It is counted among the district's major temples and is a focus of village devotion and festival gatherings. It adds to the network of Murugan worship sites across the Krishnagiri countryside. Built into a rock cave at the foot of the Varadagiri hills in Varatanapalli (historically called Gangaraya Chathurvedi Mangalam), this cave temple enshrines Lakshmi Narasimha seated facing east with Goddess Lakshmi on his lap. Local tradition holds that it was hewn and consecrated in a single day. Its unusual cave form and hill setting distinguish it among the district's Narasimha shrines. The rock-cut sanctum gives the temple a distinctive, austere character.
