A Vishnu Divya Desam about 12 km from Madurai on the Melur road, where the deity is worshipped as Kalamegha Perumal. It is known for the rare two-sided Sudarsana Chakra shrine of Chakkarathazhwar, with Sudarsana on one face and Yoga Narasimha on the reverse. The temple is referenced in Sangam-era works and the epic Silappatikaram.
