Mangalam Aruvi Falls

A small seasonal waterfall in the Pachaimalai Hills near Thondamanthurai, counted among the principal falls of the range. Its streams flow downstream to feed the Vellar river. It is a monsoon-fed cascade popular with local trekkers.

The most important hill range of Perambalur district, forming its northern boundary with thickly forested slopes, tribal hamlets and several seasonal waterfalls such as Mayil Ootru, Koraiyar and Mangalam Aruvi. The hills are known for their black granite and are a popular local base for trekking and nature outings.
