Azhagiya Manavala Perumal Temple / Kamalavalli Nachiyar (Uraiyur)
One of the 108 Divya Desams (Thirukkozhi), dedicated to Vishnu as Azhagiya Manavalan and Goddess Kamalavalli Nachiyar. It is the only Divya Desam where the presiding goddess has a north-facing shrine. Uraiyur, the ancient early Chola capital, is revered as the birthplace of the Alvar saint Thiruppan Alvar.
