Konganagiri Murugan Temple
This ancient hill temple to Lord Murugan sits on the outskirts of Tiruppur town and is believed to be around 1,200 years old, linked by tradition to Kongana Siddhar, one of the eighteen Tamil Siddhars. It is regarded as a Thevara Vaippu Sthalam referenced in Appar's hymns, and the poet-saint Arunagirinathar is said to have sung Thiruppugazh here. The presiding deity is worshipped as Thapas Kumaraswamy with consorts Valli and Deivanai, and the temple has a notable Navagraha shrine.

Book with the place itself. India’s cyber-crime coordination centre warned in April 2025 that convincing copies of hotel and pilgrimage booking sites are being pushed through sponsored search and social ads, taking payment for rooms the property never hears about. Every listing here links to the business’s own contact details and its own Google or Bing profile — we take no commission and sit in nobody’s payment path. If a booking page reached you through an ad, check the address bar against the property’s own site before you pay. Fraud can be reported on cybercrime.gov.in or on 1930.
