The rail gateway is Davanagere (DVG) and Harihar (HRR) on the Bengaluru–Hubballi line, with trains from Bengaluru, Hubballi, Arsikere and Hubballi. NH-48 (the Bengaluru–Pune highway) runs through Davanagere and Harihar; KSRTC hubs at Davanagere, Harihar, Channagiri, Honnali and Jagalur with frequent buses from Bengaluru, Hubballi and Shivamogga. A car is best for Sulekere, Channagiri, the Honnali temples and the Rangayyanadurga sanctuary.
