Overview

Thiruvanvandoor Mahavishnu Temple, north-west of Chengannur town, is another of the 108 Divya Desams, where Vishnu is worshipped as Paambanaiappan in a Kerala-style shrine whose stone inscriptions date its origin to the Second Chera period. It is the Pandava temple attributed to Nakula, is run by the Travancore Devaswom Board, and Chengannur is its nearest railway station.
