Vazhachal Falls
Attraction · Athirappilly & Vazhachal
History & overview
Vazhachal is a broad run of rapids on the Chalakudy river about 5 km upstream of Athirappilly, set in the Sholayar forest that shelters all four South Indian hornbill species. It is quieter than Athirappilly and covered by the same day ticket, and the riverside forest is the start point for a DTPC jungle safari.
