Highlights
- Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve — Tamil Nadu's largest wildlife reserve, straddling the Western and Eastern Ghats at the foot of the Nilgiris; a Project Tiger reserve with a growing tiger population and large elephant herds, once the hideout of sandalwood brigand Veerappan.
