- Kailasanathar Temple, Rasipuram — A west-facing Shiva temple with a five-tiered rajagopuram, traditionally linked to the Sangam-age chieftain Valvil Ori, whose standing idol is present in the temple. The main lingam is regarded as swayambhu (self-manifested) and bears a mark said to have come from Ori's arrow.
