Kolukkumalai
Kolukkumalai, in the Kottagudi area on the Theni side of the Western Ghats, is widely described as the world's highest tea plantation, at roughly 7,900 feet. It is famous for its sunrise viewpoint over a sea of clouds and for an old estate factory that still processes tea using traditional orthodox methods. The summit is reached by trek from Kurangani village or by jeep from the Munnar side.
