- Tiruverkadu Devi Karumariamman Temple — One of Tamil Nadu's most-visited Amman shrines, dedicated to the goddess Karumariamman and believed to be around 1,000 years old. The locality was historically a dense neem forest, which gave it the name Velkadu or Thiruverkadu. Sundays are the special day of worship and draw very large crowds of devotees.
- Vedapureeswarar Temple, Thiruverkadu — An ancient Shiva temple at Thiruverkadu, distinct from the adjoining Karumariamman shrine, noted for its set of directional dikpalaka lingams. It is one of the older Shiva temples of the district and part of the Thiruverkadu temple cluster.
