Khajamalai Dargah

A science museum and planetarium run by the Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, inaugurated on 10 June 1999. It features science and technology exhibition halls and a planetarium with shows in Tamil and English. It is a popular educational attraction for students and families in the district.

A historic stone gateway that was one of the principal entrances to the old Tiruchirappalli Fort complex around the Rock Fort. It is the most substantial surviving remnant of the fort, once enclosed by a roughly 16 km wall. The gate stands near the Teppakulam and Rock Fort as a reminder of the city's fortified colonial-era past.

The tomb complex of the 11th-century Sufi saint Sultan Syed Shah Mutaharuddin, known as Nathar Vali, and one of the most important Muslim pilgrimage sites in Tamil Nadu. A Paadal Petra Sthalam Shiva temple built on a rocky hillock beside the Uyyakondan channel of the Kaveri, revered in the 7th-century Tevaram hymns. Shiva is worshipped here as Uyyakondan (Ujjivanathar) with his consort Anjanakshi. The four-acre temple has concentric granite walls and inscriptions recording a crown gifted by the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi.
