- Brahmadesam Kailasanathar Temple — A 1,000-year-old Shiva temple 4 km from Ambasamudram, built by Rajaraja Chola in a village he donated to Vedic Brahmins. Its premises carry numerous Chola inscriptions, including a Vatteluttu inscription of Rajaraja I on the river steps, marking it as an important early-medieval temple.
- Kasi Viswanathar Temple, Ambasamudram — One of the oldest temples of Ambasamudram, a Shiva shrine on the Thamirabarani said to have a history stretching back around 2,000 years. It belongs to the cluster of ancient riverside temples that make Ambasamudram and Kallidaikurichi a temple-heritage belt.
