Highlights
- Kongu Vaduganatha Swamy Temple — The principal temple at the centre of Kundadam, just off the Palladam-Dharapuram road. Legend holds that the forest sage Vidangar performed penance here and that Lord Shiva sent Vaduga Bhairavar to protect him, after which a king built shrines for Bhairavar, Vidangeswarar, goddess Visalakshi and Somaskandar. The east-facing temple has a three-tier rajagopuram, a temple tank with a Neerazhi mandapam, and a noted Kala Bhairavar shrine.
