The story
Panchalinga or Thirumoorthy Falls is a seasonal forest-managed cascade in the Thirumoorthy Hills whose exact public approach requires current local confirmation. Obtain the current entrance from Forest Department staff before travelling; nearby dam and temple routes do not necessarily lead to the falls.

The falls are associated with the Thirumoorthy hill and temple landscape, but dam, temple and waterfall are separate destinations.
Forest access, guides and bathing can be suspended for rain, wildlife or water conditions. Old fee and opening-hour posts are not reliable permission.
Ask the Forest Department or authorised local staff for the current entrance. Turn back if access cannot be confirmed.
For the visit itself, allow one to two hours after reaching the authorised approach. The best time is only during confirmed safe seasonal access in daylight. Confirm the exact authorised entrance on the day. Visit only when staff explicitly permit the route and water access. Wet rock, sudden flow and forest wildlife make unauthorised entry dangerous.
