Bangalore Palace is a Tudor-revival mansion built in 1878 and later expanded by the Wodeyar royal family of Mysore. Its fortified towers, battlements, arches and wooden interiors were inspired by England’s Windsor Castle.

Now maintained by the Wodeyar family, it opens to visitors with an audio tour through halls of royal portraits, period furniture, and Durbar and reception rooms; the grounds also host concerts and events.
