Kotravaleeswarar Temple and Koviloor Aadheenam

An ancient Shiva temple (Kotravaleeswarar / Rajakhadga Paramesvara) at Koviloor near Karaikudi, built in the Dravidian style and associated with Pandya-era patronage. Adjoining it is the Koviloor Aadheenam, a nearly 200-year-old Saiva mutt founded by Sri Muthuramalinga Gnana Desikar, the Andavar of Koviloor.
