Veera Kothandaramar Temple, Thillaivilagam

The dargah of Andavar Sheikh Dawood Khamil Oliyullah is one of the oldest Muslim shrines in the region, believed to be several centuries old. Built in a traditional style, it has five minarets, the tallest reputedly added by the Thanjavur Maratha ruler Pratap Singh in the 18th century. It is an interfaith pilgrimage site visited by people of all communities.

Cauvery-delta mangrove forest and lagoon at the district's southern edge, part of the greater Point Calimere wetland complex and the second largest lagoon in Tamil Nadu, explored by boat through mangrove channels rich in water birds.

A Paadal Petra Sthalam Shiva temple in the Mannargudi region, revered in the Tevaram of the Saiva Nayanmars. The deity is worshipped as Parijatavaneswarar, the name linked to the celestial Parijata (coral) tree. It is one of the lesser-visited Tevara sthalams of the delta.

Well-known Rama temple at Vaduvur, called the Dakshina Ayodhya of the delta, dedicated to Kothandaramaswamy (Rama with his bow) and a landmark of the Mannargudi area.

A delta wetland bird sanctuary of about 128 hectares on Vaduvur lake, declared in 1999, drawing painted storks, grey pelicans, spoonbills, darters and open-bill storks.
