The story
Adiyogi is a 112-foot contemporary Shiva bust at the Isha Yoga Center beneath the Velliangiri Hills, visited within an active institutional campus. Plan the campus entry, parking and event conditions before travelling. The statue is outdoors, while other spaces on the site have separate silence, dress and access rules.

The steel bust represents Shiva as the first yogi and is a modern monument rather than an ancient shrine. Its scale and foothill setting are the main visual experience.
Large events can change traffic, security and the visitor route. Use the centre’s current information instead of relying on an ordinary-day photograph or timetable.
Respect barriers, worship and meditation areas, and do not assume that access to the statue includes Dhyanalinga or every campus facility.
For the visit itself, allow two to three hours for the campus, longer during events. The best time is a confirmed visitor period, with cooler daylight for the outdoor approach.
