- Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple, Parikkal — This ancient Vishnu temple is a Narasimha kshetra where Lord Narasimha is seated in a calm, smiling form beside his consort Lakshmi, and is said to be the only temple in India showing the Lord and Mother embracing each other. It was built by King Vasantharaja of Vriddhachalam and is regarded as very old. Two Hanuman shrines, Veera Anjaneya and Bhakta Anjaneya, stand together here, and Parikkal lies between the Thenpennai and Kedilam rivers about 18 km from Ulundurpet.
