- Ardhanareeswarar Temple, Rishivandiyam — This Shiva temple enshrines the deity as Ardhanareeswarar, the composite half-Shiva half-Parvati form, with the goddess called Mukthambika. It is believed to have been built by the Pandya king Sundara Pandya in 1282 AD and was later renovated by the Vijayanagara and Nayak rulers. The east-facing temple has a five-tiered rajagopuram, a Vasantha Mandapam with musical pillars and a Vahana Mandapam with yali pillars, and stands about 22 km from Kallakurichi.
