- Pallathur Chettinad Mansions — Pallathur is one of the atmospheric Chettinad villages near Karaikudi, its old streets flanked by large ornate Nagarathar (Chettiar) mansions built during the community's early-20th-century trading prosperity. It is part of the Chettinad heritage circuit famed for pillared courtyards, Athangudi tiles and Burma-teak woodwork. Several of its mansions have been conserved as heritage properties.
- Solai Andavar Ayyanar Temple, Pallathur — A well-known village guardian (Ayyanar) temple at Kothari near Pallathur, about 6 km from Karaikudi in the Chettinad region. It is regarded as one of the oldest Ayyanar temples in Chettinad, where the folk deity is worshipped as Solai Valartha Ayyanar (Solai Andavar). Such Ayyanar shrines traditionally serve as protective boundary deities for the surrounding villages.
