A pure-vegetarian restaurant 393 metres north-east of the bus stand. A mess in Tamil Nadu is a plain working eating house that serves whatever has been cooked that day rather than a menu, usually as a set meal at midday, and it is the cheapest honest lunch in any Tamil town.
