Use Alappuzha town as the base; the beach side is a short auto/taxi ride from the railway station, canal streets and many hotel areas. Check current lighthouse visiting rules locally before promising a climb, because access windows and maintenance closures can change. Plan the beach for late afternoon or sunset, then keep dinner/return transport pre-decided on busy weekends.
